FLANNEL RHYME: Five Fancy Fish
Five fancy goldfish at the pet store,
I’ll buy one for my mummy, and now there are FOUR.
Four fancy goldfish looking at me,
I’ll get one for my daddy, and now there are THREE.
Three fancy gold fish in a fishbowl they outgrew,
I’ll get one for my grandma, and that leaves TWO.
Two fancy goldfish, scales shining in the sun,
I want one for my grandpa, and now there is just ONE.
One fancy goldfish swimming just for fun,
I’ll take this one home with me, and now there are NONE!Source: Loons & Quines

BOOK 3: The Pigeon Wants a Puppy by Mo Willems
We didn’t have time for this one but it’s also a very cute book for this theme!

CRAFT: Goldfish Fishbowl
Take home your very own pet goldfish 🙂 This craft is easy and fun for all ages- a big hit with my group! Use regular size paper plates for fishbowl. To make the goldfish use the Five Fancy Fish template. For the pebbles at the bottom I used Rice Krispy cereal instead of beans- so they can have a snack too 🙂
