BOOK 2: Way Down in the Deep Blue Sea by Jan Peck
CLOSING RHYME: Tickle the Clouds
CLOSING SONG: Skinnamarink
CRAFT: Floating Sponge Boats!
The group decorated sponge boats to take home and play with in the bath tub!
What You Need:
1. Sponges ( I cut mine in half to make smaller boats)
2. Craft Foam
3. Small Popsicle Stick
4. Stickers
First cut a triangle out of foam to make a sail for the boat. Make small cuts at top and bottom (just big enough for popsicle stick to fit through) -thread the popsicle stick through the sail. Then make a small hole in the sponge so popsicle stick will fit tightly. Let kids decorate with stickers!

Hi! Love your website–I’m a librarian in NJ and I come here a lot to get inspiration. We just got the bubble machine–do you always get the brand name bubbles to refill or is there a cheaper off brand you’ve tried? Thanks!

Hi Liz, thank you for visiting! I just used bubbles we had in our storage closet to refill the bubble machine so off brand bubbles definitely work just as well 🙂

These were just found in our supply closet, but it looks like Walmart sells some that are longer – about 7 1/2 inches http://www.walmart.com/ip/43316655?reviews_limit=9&
