TODDLER STORYTIME
Today was the last toddler storytime of the spring. It has been so much fun with such a wonderful group of children and parents! We’ll take a month break (to plan for summer and get rejuvenated) and then I’ll see you all again in June for the summer reading program, “One World, Many Stories.”

CRAFT: Muddy Pig

Instructions:
- Print pig template onto pink construction paper. I created my own Muddy Pig template, which you can print out here.
- Cut out the pigs.
- Have children glue the pigs onto green construction paper.
- Provide children with sponges or Q-tips and brown paint to muddy-up their pigs.
SNACK: Pig Cookies
The recipe and instructions for these pig cookies came from a Taste of Home.
Instructions: Ice sugar cookies with pink frosting. Cut pink sugar wafers into small triangles. Add triangles for ears. Cut large marshmallows in half; poke two holes in each marshmallow with a toothpick. Press peanut butter or butterscotch chips upside-down into the holes. Add mini chocolate chips as eyes. Add pink sprinkles as desired :) Cute pig cookies complete!

Flannel Board: Rooster’s feathers
(Tune: Do You Know the Muffin Man)
Place a rooster on the flannel board and explain that he has lost his feathers. Hand out different colored paper feathers to children. Then sing the following song:
Do you have a red feather,
A red feather, a red feather?
If you have a red feather,
Bring it up here now.
Repeat with other colors.
